We are a non-profit and as a result our coaches coach for the love of the sport. Our coaching team has a well-deserved reputation of excellence in providing smart safe sensible and comprehensive skill development to some of the best players in the Okanagan on the beach and indoor.
We believe in building strong positive relationships and each and every athlete is valued greatly with dignity and respect. Above all we encourage fun and hard work in an energetic environment in which players can grow not only as volleyball players but as teammates and individuals as well.
All our coaches are fully trained by participating in the NCCP - (National Coaching Certification Program) offered by Volleyball Canada. We also have an AVP certified beach coach on staff (Association of Volleyball Professionals).
Each one of our coaches also have taken the RCM Pledge - Responsible Coaching Movement which is a call to action for sport organizations, parents, and coaches to enact responsible coaching across Canada - on and off the court.
All our coaches understand the importance of building a team, they are confident and capable and they know how to lead with both their heads and their hearts. Our coaches understand that they are coaching kids and teaching volleyball, they coach from a positive perspective and actively work to catch the athletes doing things right and they understand the importance of creating a safe environment for the athletes to push their limits in.
Our coaches know how to be demanding without being demeaning, they want to make a difference in the lives of our kids and they understand the concept of athletes first and winning second and they want to develop in each athlete a winning attitude and commitment to achieve their best for the team. Each and everyone of our coaches believes in teaching sound technical and tactical volleyball skills while continuing to foster the love of the game.
We are pleased to announce that all of our coaches from the 2021-2022 seasons are back in action for 2023 and quite frankly our athletes would not have it any other way. We have added 4 new coaches to our coaching staff for the upcoming 2023 season due to the demand of our fast growing club.
Choosing a coach is not taken lightly and the vetting process is quite complex. If you or anyone you know would love to join our team as either a head coach or assistant coach then contact us at your earliest convenience so we can get the ball rolling. Previous experience is required and willingness to learn even more is a must.
Our 2023 coaching staff will be assigned to a team and made public once we have completed tryouts based on the need of our athletes.
